Catherine was born on September 25th, 1969, (Sun in Libra, Moon in Pisces) in Mumbles a city in Swansea, West Glamorgan, Wales. Because of breathing difficulties, when Catherine was an infant she had a tracheotomy (it is when you cut an airway through the neck.) She became an accomplished singer and dancer at a young age, her first role was in the hit musical "Annie". She became a member of an actor's guild by the time she was 15. Not long after that she landed her first leading role in 42nd Street. She later went on to star in the British TV show "The Darling Buds of May." After some other roles, Catherine got a part in the TV movie "Titanic", which got the notice of hit movie director Steven Spielberg, who then recommended her to "The Mask of Zorro" director Martin Campbell. And the rest is history...
